Volunteering as Book Buddies : Sharing the Joy of Reading

Volunteering has always been something I've wanted to do more of, but finding the right opportunity that fit my schedule and interests could be challenging. Then I stumbled upon the Book Buddies program at the West University Library, and it was like the stars had aligned!

Book Buddies is a free program that pairs children in kindergarten through 3rd grade with adult or teen volunteers for weekly one-on-one reading sessions. I knew this was the perfect fit for me – I love to read, and I have a soft spot for helping children.
